# Badges & Achievements

> All badges you can earn and how to unlock them

## Badge System Overview

PerpCord features a comprehensive badge system that rewards your trading achievements. Badges appear on your profile and automatically sync to Discord roles, giving you visible recognition in the server.

There are three categories of badges:

* **Dynamic Badges** - Based on current stats, can be earned and lost
* **Season Achievements** - One-time achievements that reset monthly
* **Leaderboard Leader** - Awarded to the current #1 trader on the leaderboard

## Dynamic Badges

These badges are calculated from your current stats. If your stats drop below the threshold, you'll lose the badge.

### Wealth Ladder

Earn badges based on your current coin balance:

| Badge     | Requirement        | Emoji |

| Fry       | Under 15,000 coins | 🐟    |
| Guppy     | 15,000+ coins      | 🐠    |
| Minnow    | 25,000+ coins      | 🐡    |
| Big Fish  | 50,000+ coins      | 🐟    |
| Whale     | 100,000+ coins     | 🐋    |
| Megalodon | 500,000+ coins     | 🦷    |

### Streak Ladder

Earn badges based on your current win streak:

| Badge       | Requirement         | Emoji |

| On Fire     | 5 consecutive wins  | 🌋    |
| Unstoppable | 10 consecutive wins | ⚡     |

### Performance Badges

| Shark        | 3 consecutive wins with 250× leverage | 🦈    |
| Sharpshooter | 70%+ win rate with 10+ trades         | 🎯    |

## Season Achievements

These badges are awarded once and stay on your profile until the monthly reset.

### Trading Achievements

| Degen        | Place 50+ trades in a month                   | 🎰    |
| YOLO Trader  | Trade 90%+ of your balance in one trade       | 🧨    |
| Comeback Kid | Recover from under 1,000 coins to over 10,000 | 📈    |

### Milestone Achievements

| Quest Grinder | Complete all 3 daily quests for 10 days | 📆    |
| Pepe Hunter   | Catch 10+ Pepe drops                    | 🐸    |

## Leaderboard Leader 👑

Awarded to the current #1 player on the leaderboard. This badge:

* Updates in real-time as the leaderboard changes
* Shows you're currently the top trader
* Can be lost if someone overtakes you

The final top 10 of every closing season is also preserved in a snapshot — admins can look up past winners with `/admin season last`.

## Badge Roles

When you earn a badge, it automatically syncs to a Discord role with the same name. This means:

* Your badges are visible in the member list
* You get a colored role showing your achievement
* Other players can see your accomplishments at a glance

  Badge roles are managed automatically by the bot.

## Monthly Reset

At 00:00 UTC on the 1st of each calendar month, the bot resets the season:

**Wiped:**

* All dynamic badges (Wealth, Streak, Performance)
* Season achievements (Degen, YOLO Trader, Comeback Kid, Quest Grinder, Pepe Hunter, etc.)
* All permanent badges and badge roles
* Player balances reset to 10,000 coins
* All-time records, trades, rounds, daily quests, and wheel spins

**Preserved:**

* The closing season's final **top 10** is snapshotted forever (use `/admin season last` to view)

After a reset, players must `/perp join` again to be active in the new season. This gives everyone a fresh start each month.

  Admins can force a season reset with `/admin season reset confirm:YES` and view past winners with `/admin season last`.

## Checking Your Badges

Use `/perp profile` to see your current badges, or `/perp badges` to see all available badges organized by category with a dropdown menu.
